Answers to common questions

We’ve compiled a list of answers to common questions.

Do I need to bring my own bed sheets/towels/life jackets?

Bed linens are provided for your use, as well as bathroom towels. Beach towels are not provided. There are some life jackets for boating, but ski jackets or children’s jackets are not available.

What’s your refund/cancellation policy?

Deposits will be refunded in full if cancellations made within 15 days of making your reservation.

Do we need to schedule the use of rowboats, kayaks, canoes or volleyball court?

Please check in with the manager on-site or ahead of your trip to request reservations. Reservations are not required, but helpful if there might be high demand. Paddle boards are available for rent, and other items listed are free for your use. There is one rowboat available per cabin. The aluminum rowboat does not have a motor, but you may bring your own, if so desired.

Are there designated smoking cabins?

All cabins are non-smoking. Additional cleaning fee of $250 will be assessed if smoking within cottage.

Are pets allowed?

Yes! We are pet friend, if your pet is friendly. All pets MUST be on a leash outside, and owners shall clean up after pets immediately. Owner shall have vaccine record available, and will be charged a $100 non-refundable pet fee. Additional charges may be incurred for damages.

Is food included?

Food can be included, with certain meal packages or special requests to our manager. Home cooked meals for reunions, retreats, or simply dinner or brunch, can take relaxation to a new level for ALL.

How do I reach the manager?

Are there any options of massages / manicures / pedicures?

YES! We have someone who may come to YOU, to provide these services. Please inquire with manager.

Is Wi-fi available?

Yes, and it is FREE for your use.

Are there pontoons, paddle boards, jet skis, or motor boats to rent?

YES – we are able to offer a pontoon boat or two paddle boards for rent. Please contact manager for pricing and reservations. Jet Skis are not available at this time. You’re welcome to bring your own watercraft for this all-sports lake, which you may store at your personal dock.

Do you offer group discounts?

Of course. Please contact us for group packages.

Does Sunset Shores sell ice?

Yes – please contact the manager for ice.

Does Sunset Shores sell firewood? Can I bring my own?

Yes, we DO sell wood onsite. Please do NOT bring wood from outside sources. See manager for purchasing wood.

Do you offer laundry services?

We will provide fresh towels once a week for WEEKLY rental guests. Otherwise, we do not provide laundry services. There are two laundromats nearby (~6 miles) in Clare and Farwell.
